The premiere of “Criminal Minds” Season 14 is an event that fans have been looking forward to and which critics have been skeptical about. After so many episodes, some have come to doubt the show’s ability to deliver on interesting characters and storylines. However, with the “Criminal Minds Season 14” premiere being its 300th episode, the folks behind the series thought to feature a killer with 300 victims.
The show’s killers or “unsubs,” as they are often referred to, are often of the more seditious types with motives more complicated than just killing for the sake of killing. In the case of “Criminal Minds” Season 14, this trend is more than likely to continue, but it’s the premiere episode that takes the cake.
Based on what showrunner Erica Messer said about the upcoming first episode of “Criminal Minds” Season 14, the premiere will feature the series’ craziest killer yet, Cinemablend reports. Murdering one or two people is already bad enough, but 300 should curdle anyone’s blood.
“You know what's crazy is that there are, truthfully, countless bad deeds out there in the world, and we aren't coming up with anything that's crazier than happens in real life. It was one of those things when the show first started, we kind of had our 13 ideas because we knew of 13 serial killers -- or, you know, certainly the 'household name' serial killers that everyone had heard of. And here we are, 300 episodes in, and I'm still learning about these bad people in the world. Our premiere deals with somebody who has killed 300 people,” Messer said.
Messer is also responsible for writing the “Criminal Minds” Season 14 premiere, TV Line reports. She assures viewers that the good 300 will honor what the show is about and its fans when it airs on Oct. 3.
