ALBANY, N.Y., March 05, 2018 -- Dr. Alain Polynice, a board-certified plastic surgeon and resident breast and body contouring specialist at the Williams Center Plastic Surgery Specialists in Albany, NY, paid a visit to social media celebrity Dr. Michael Salzhauer – or Dr. Miami, as he is famously dubbed – at his Bay Harbor Islands, FL, practice on Feb. 12, 2018.
Dr. Polynice spent the day with Dr. Miami both at his office and in the operating room, where he observed Dr. Miami perform two Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL) and a breast lift. After a heavy day with the surgeries, the doctors and their squad decided to let loose and performed a skit based on the Netflix show Stranger Things.
Dr. Polynice, who is fondly nicknamed “Polypop” by his operating room nurses (who call themselves and his other fans “Polypeeps”), had this to say about his trip: “In particular, my visit to Dr. Miami’s practice showed me how significant social media can be in creating a window into our surgical world and show patients that plastic surgery can be very accessible.”
Dr. Polynice finds that his Snapchat (@RealDrNewYork) and Instagram (@TheRealDrNY) accounts are particularly useful, real-time tools that can be used to educate viewers on the intricate, inner workings of plastic surgery, as well as the processes a patient and their surgeon go through before and after the operation.
“I’ve been using Instagram and Snapchat a ton to showcase my patients’ before-and-afters. My staff recently called out a patient’s results they thought were amazing: ‘Poly poppin’ perfect post-op plastic surgery patients!’”
More information about cosmetic and reconstructive face, breast, and body procedures may be found on the practice’s website WilliamsSurgery.com. To view before-and-after photos or request a consultation with Dr. Polynice or another specialist at the Williams Center, contact the practice online or call (800) 742-2797.
