The anime series of “Dragon Ball Heroes” is expected to conclude with its sixth episode before the year ends. And, next year, the world will finally get to experience the trading arcade card arcade game where the anime was based.
“Dragon Ball Heroes” is originally an arcade game only available in Japan. It first came out in 2010 and was updated with improved graphics and gameplay in 2016, which was officially called “Super Dragon Ball Heroes.”
Earlier this year, Toei Animation launched an anime series based on the Prison Planet stage in “Dragon Ball Heroes.” Since the anime was only launched for promotional purposes, fans cannot expect to see many episodes released under this series.
In fact, the synopsis for “Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6 clearly implies it is where the miniseries will conclude. Teasers for the finale hint at a “final battle” in Prison Planet as Ultra Instinct Goku appears.
Meanwhile, the “Dragon Ball Heroes” franchise also expanded through the release of new video game titles available on consoles. For one, the “Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission” was launched in 2017 as the game’s official port on the Nintendo 3DS.
This year, developer Bandai Namco Entertainment announced they are working on a new game based on the “Dragon Ball Heroes” franchise. More specifically, the upcoming title is designed after the updated version “Super Dragon Ball Heroes” and will be exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch.
The latest game port announced is officially titled “Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission.” This week, fans finally got confirmation that it will be launched in countries outside Japan after Gematsu spotted its official rating from the Australian Classification Board.
“Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission” is listed as a “multi-platform” title by the Australian rating board. But Gematsu reiterated that it will be a Switch-exclusive release. The rating does not reveal the game’s official release date but it proves that the game can fulfill its target 2019 release date.
