Ellen DeGeneres and Charlize Theron Feuding over Portia de Rossi? Report Debunked

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi

Ellen DeGeneres and Charlize Theron are reportedly feuding over the former’s wife, Portia de Rossi. The two are allegedly not on good terms because the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” host finds the “Atomic Blonde” actress to be a bad influence to her wife.

Portia de Rossi and Charlize Theron reportedly worked together in the fifth season of “Arrested Development” and this was where the problem supposedly started.

Radar Online claimed last year that Ellen DeGeneres and Charlize Theron had a showdown because the host was worried about Portia being in the same project with Charlize again.

In an effort to prove its claim, the tabloid wrote that a source allegedly told them, “Ellen knows Charlize and finds her controlling and brash, and worries how she’ll influence Portia. She knows Portia is like putty and adapts to whomever she’s hanging out with.”

The tipster went on to say that Ellen went to the set when Charlize Theron appeared as a guest in “Arrested Development” season 3. The 60-year-old host was said to have noticed a different chemistry between her wife and Theron and it led to the conflict.

“You can bet she’ll be poking her head around again, keeping an eye on things during any of Charlize and Portia’s scenes together this season,” the source added.

Now, Gossip Cop is debunking this claim by stating that Charlize Theron appeared in the third season of Netflix’s “Arrested Development” in 2005 but she did not return to the show after that.

“The fact that Theron wasn’t involved in this past season of “Arrested Development” completely discredits the blog’s report from 12 months ago, which a mutual pal of ours and DeGeneres had laughed off,” GC wrote.

To conclude, the Ellen DeGeneres, Charlize Theron fight narrative is false. In fact, the actress even appeared on the former’s talk show in April this year and this is another indication that there is no bad blood between the two.
