“Frozen 2” is finally coming after a 6-year waiting time. Disney announced its premiere date by releasing the first trailer that also offered the first look of the main characters that include Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf.
The promo video of “Frozen 2” started with a visibly annoyed Elsa trying to cross the sea. She failed the first time, and in her second attempt, she used her powers to freeze the water and glide her way to the sea. However, she seemed to have been overpowered by the strong waves, so she failed again.
It is not clear what Elsa is trying to do or perhaps, she might be battling something? While her purpose for trying to cross the angry sea is uncertain, the sure thing is that it appears that “Frozen 2” has taken a darker turn. The plot of “Frozen 2” has been a tightly guarded detail and, up to now, nobody knows what the sequel will be about.
In any case, the trailer has no dialogue that only heightened the mystery, but some of the scenes are enough for fans to come up with their theories with regards to what will happen in “Frozen 2.” One of the interesting notions is that Elsa will be involved in a conflict with four other beings who also have their powers based on the four seasons.
There is a scene in “Frozen 2” where Elsa appears to be surrounded by a hearts on fire, and it was suggested that this could be summer fighting with Elsa. She might also battle spring and autumn according to the theories.
Finally, the trailer ended with Anna snatching the sword from Kristoff and then striking someone that was not shown in the frame. This could be a hint that she will have amazing powers too in “Frozen 2” and perhaps, she will fight a villain along with Elsa. Then again, the identity of the protagonist has yet to be revealed.
“Frozen 2” is coming this November in the U.S. and the U.K. Release in Australia has been set on Dec. 26.
