It was previously speculated that “Fuller House” season 4 is going to be the final run of the family-oriented comedy series. But while the reports claimed that Netflix is canceling the show, not one of the publications mentioned the reason for its supposed cancellation.
In order to get a clear answer if “Fuller House” season 4 would be the last, TV Line contacted Netflix for clarification. The streaming site’s spokesperson relayed that the cancellation is not certain yet.
“No decision has been made about the future of Fuller House,” he said. “We’re looking forward to the premiere of Season 4 later this year.”
Now, since the rumor has been spreading further, Candace Cameron-Bure who plays DJ Tanner in the sitcom decided to step in. The 42-year-old actress refuted the reports and said that “Fuller House” season 4 is not going to be the end.
In her interview with E! News, the lead cast member insisted that the reports were just plain rumors. “I don't know why or how that rumor got started," she told the magazine. "I think it was a slow news day and someone wanted to make more of it than it is."
Cameron-Bure pointed out that their show was not even released yet so how can it be canceled right away. She said that most shows only receive a notice of cancellation when they are not doing well during their season run.
The “Fuller House” season 4 star then added that she is confident their show will be renewed for another season. "I have no doubt that we're going to be back for season five," she remarked.
Meanwhile, “Fuller House” season 4 has a premiere date already. Netflix made the announcement on Oct. 30 and the cast also made a video for it. The show has been scheduled to return on Dec. 14.
