‘Fuller House’ Season 5 News: Series Not Yet Renewed; Does Delayed Announcement Means Netflix Has Canceled the Series?

Fuller House

“Fuller House” season 5 is still unconfirmed up to now and fans are worried that they will not see the Tanners again. Likewise, the fourth season was already released via Netflix in December 2018 and more than a month past but there is still no word regarding its renewal – has the streaming site Netflix canceled the show?

According to Bustle, “Fuller House” season 5’s renewal announcement is considered delayed already because, in the past seasons, it only took a little over a month when Netflix confirms the continuation of the series through a new installment. But it seems that this is not the case with the fifth season so it is understandable why cancellation rumors are floating around.

But then again, Netflix could have its reasons why “Fuller House” season 5 is not renewed yet and perhaps, the confirmation will come much later than usual. Candace Cameron-Bure who plays D.J. Tanner in the show also believes that they will get a new order for more episodes that will make up the fifth season so she recently debunked the rumors that the family-oriented comedy series has been axed.

"I don't know why or how that rumor got started," she told E! News. "I think it was a slow news day and someone wanted to make more of it than it is."

Candace Cameron-Bure further expressed confidence that the viewers will see more of the Tanners and the Gibblers by saying, "I have no doubt that we're going to be back for Season 5."

At any rate, since most shows are being renewed based on their performance and overall ratings, the 42-year-old actress may be right in saying that “Fuller House” season 5 would be renewed because the show has good records when it comes to viewership numbers. Thus, it is more likely that new episodes are coming to tell more stories about the Fullers.

Finally, if “Fuller House” season 5 is indeed renewed, it is expected to retain its cast members led by Candace (D.J. Tanner) Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie), Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) and of course Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) and John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis.)
