“Fuller House” season 5 will be back but sadly it will be the last run. Then again, Candace Cameron-Bure said that this does not mean that the show has been canceled because the last season gives the show its proper ending.
“This is not a cancellation. It’s a proper ending to the series. But I’d be totally game if they wanted to keep going. Of course,” she said.
Moreover, on the topic of “Fuller House” season 5, the actress said that she has no idea when Netflix announced last month that the fifth installment has been set as the series’ finale. “I have no idea if it’s true. I’m settled if it’s the fifth and final season,” she revealed.
She went on to say, “I’m not sure Netflix, maybe other than ‘Orange Is the New Black,’ has gone over five seasons. So it’s not something that was a big surprise to us. We kind of knew that that was coming, but there was the hope that if fans really loved it, Netflix would make an exception, you know? We love doing the show, we love working together.”
Now, as Candace Cameron-Bure mentioned that everyone in the show loves to work together, she was asked about the possibility that Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen will appear in the show. The twins are the only cast members who did not return in the reboot and perhaps, they will agree to “Fuller House” season 5 since it is already the end.
Cameron-Bure immediately said that the twins will never be on the show because they are not interested. At the recent Movieguide Awards in Hollywood, the 42-year-old actress told Us Weekly, “They are never coming back on the show! They don't want to be on the show. The answer's no!” She added in jest, “You heard it from me first.”
The Olsen twins asked to return to the show when it was revived but they have always turned down the offer. Thus, the cast and production team just left them out in the “Fuller House” reboot and continued with the original main cast that include Candace (D.J. Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Katsopolis) and Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone).
“Fuller House” season 5 will return in the fall.
