‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Air Date, Spoilers: Actress Warns of Post-View Psychotherapy, Scientists Analyze Survivors

It might be safe to say, at this point, that there has never been a show like the one HBO created based on George R.R. Martin’s book series, “The Song of Ice and Fire.” Now that “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is on the way, the cast is warning viewers to book their trips to the shrink once it is over. Speaking of which, scientists have also looked into the survivors of the show and analyzed their special traits.

For a lot of fans, the thought of being able to watch “Game of Thrones” Season 8 brings a mixture of both excitement and terror. Excitement because they will be able to see their favorite characters in action, once again. Terror because the return of the series also means the death of many beloved heroes and villains of the show.

There is absolutely no doubt that some of the most iconic characters of the fantasy series will be killed off in “Game of Thrones” Season 8. This is why Gwendoline Christie who plays the female knight Brienne of Tarth recently revealed that viewers might need therapy once it the show has ended. Considering just how much psychological punishment the series has been known to dish out, this might just be the case.

"You're going to need therapy," the actress recently told E! News. "I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help."

Speaking of the characters in “Game of Thrones” Season 8 who fans fear will die, it would seem that some scientists have looked into the traits of the show’s survivors. They wanted to see just what kind of person could live through such a world. The conclusion was that they would need to be three things; a woman, rich, and not afraid to betray anyone.

With “Game of Thrones” Season 8 being set to hit the small screen on April 2019, fans might want to book their therapy session right now. There’s a chance that psychiatrists are going to be quite busy immediately afterward.
