The twins of George Clooney and Amal recently made a rare public appearance as the one-year-olds were spotted with their mother in New York City. Amal was seen cradling both toddlers as she walked out of the Four Seasons Hotel this Thursday, News reported.
The twins were born back on June 6, 2017. Since then, they were scarcely seen going out in public as George Clooney and Amal aren’t too keen at showing them off to the gossip media. Young as the toddlers are, tabloids have already published rumors about the twin although it wasn’t purely about them. And it is possible for this very reason that their parents are shielding them from the outside world.
One such rumor made its round on the web last year when OK! magazine (via Gossip Cop) published an article claiming that George Clooney and Amal are going to be having yet another pair of twins. Of course, that was proven to be false with both stars confirming that the narrative is pure fiction.
But this doesn’t stop OK! magazine from writing these unfounded claims. For instance, the tabloid released a piece last month claiming that Brad Pitt is going on Ellen to announce his rekindled romance with Jennifer Aniston. That, too, proved to be nothing more than a fabrication. Returning to George Clooney and Amal, it was obvious from the get-go that the magazine’s claim was unfounded.
One glaring sign is the fact that birthing twins are remarkably rare. A 1.5 percent chance to be precise. Among the major factors that contributed to George Clooney and Amal successfully producing twins is the age of the human rights lawyer.
According to studies conducted in the U.K., women who are over the age of 35 has a 21.7 percent chance of producing twins per 1,000 pregnancies. The chances are even higher for women getting pregnant by the age of 45 with 56.7 percent chance per 1,000 maternities. And given that Amal is 40 years old, she can potentially give birth to another set of twins. But since George Clooney and Amal already said that they’re contented with their two kids and isn’t planning anymore, it’s likely that the couple will not be making any more kids in the future.
