It would seem that the showrunners behind “Goblin Slayer” really know what they are doing. By delaying the airing of “Goblin Slayer” Episode 11, they build up anticipation for the epic battle to come. There is also a special importance for the order that the episodes are presented, which anime-only fans might not be aware of, and which manga readers might have already realized.
Announced via the official “Goblin Slayer” website, fans were informed that “Goblin Slayer” Episode 11 will not be coming out this week. Instead, they will get a special episode featuring Cow Girl, which should prove quite interesting to fans of the big-breasted character. The heartwarming segment will also serve as a nice break before viewers are thrust, once again, into the show’s dark events.
The end of the previous episode of the series showed numerous footprints of goblins gathering near the farm where Orcbolg is staying with Cow Girl. This signals that there is a goblin army on the way and “Goblin Slayer” Episode 11 is when they will need to be confronted. Unfortunately, this is not nearly as easy as it sounds.
Even with a full party and Goblin Slayer’s skills, taking on an entire army in an open field is simply suicide. This is why “Goblin Slayer” Episode 11 will involve the protagonist asking other adventurers to help him out. For those who have become used to Orcbolg’s taciturn attitude, such a development might seem odd. However, this is exactly what the episode order will address.
Normally, someone like Goblin Slayer would not get much help from other adventurers due to his personality. However, through the events of the anime’s intervening episodes, he was able to build up a relationship with those who might have ignored him. This makes the aid he will get in “Goblin Slayer” Episode 11 a sensible result as opposed to how it was presented in the manga.
As for when viewers will be able to enjoy more goblin slaying action, “Goblin Slayer” Episode 11 will return on Dec. 22. Fans will definitely want to stay tuned for that.
