The party of adventurers continues their goblin-slaying activities in “Goblin Slayer” episode 6. More importantly, it will also lead to the introduction of Water Town and the Sword Maiden.
The ending scene of episode 5 showed that the Goblin Slayer received a new quest, specifically sent to him by the Sword Maiden. This means he and the Priestess, the High Elf Archer, the Dwarf Shaman, and the Lizard Priest will be pursuing another adventure in “Goblin Slayer” episode 6.
Even though “Goblin Slayer” episode 6 is officially the first time the Sword Maiden will be introduced in the anime series, fans who follow the manga should be familiar with her. She currently serves as an Archbishop to the Supreme God’s Temple of Law located in Water Town.
However, the Sword Maiden used to be a gold-ranked adventurer hailed for defeating one of the Demon Lords. If the viewers are lucky, “Goblin Slayer” episode 6 might even include a brief flashback to her days as an adventurer.
“Goblin Slayer” episode 6 will likely begin with the adventurers’ arrival at the Water Town temple to meet the Archbishop. The Sword Maiden then informs the adventurers about their goblin-related issues.
The problem of Water Town started about a month before the Goblin Slayer’s arrival. A dead girl’s body was found mutilated and discarded in the sewers. “Goblin Slayer” episode 6 will reveal that local adventurers were sent to investigate but they either ended up dead or kidnapped as well.
Goblin Slayer and Sword Maiden will agree that the goblins are hiding in the sewers. To get there, the adventurers must explore a labyrinth underneath Water Town. The Archbishop will provide the adventurers with a map to guide them in “Goblin Slayer” episode 6.
In the manga, the adventurers had been exploring the labyrinth for three days when the Dwarf Shaman commented that the number of goblins attacking them did not seem to be getting any smaller. If “Goblin Slayer” episode 6 will follow these events, it is also around this time that the adventurers will endure a shortage in their food supply and get stranded in the rain. Then a ship full of goblins suddenly arrives to attack them. The new episode will air on Nov. 11.
