It has long been taken as a fact that the show “Goblin Slayer” is not about some legendary hero who will rise and defeat the evils that threaten the world. The titular character is content to basically be a pest exterminator who roots out goblins wherever he can. However, this might just change in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 when Orcbolg is finally forced to try and save the world.
In a recent report by Animega, the publication noted how “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 feature a villain who will be known as Dark Elf. As a follower of the slain demon lord, this character will try to resurrect his master by using the inhabitants of the town where Orcbolg lives as a sacrifice. This normally would not be any of the protagonist’s business, but it would appear that goblins will be involved.
Normally, Orgbolg would be perfectly content to let others handle things that involve anything greater than goblins and their kin. However, “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will essentially feature a plan using another army of the hateful creatures as a means to attack during the Harvest Festival. This will likely be the culmination of the second season and Orcbolg will be deep in the action.
This will then essentially mean that even though he has long since given up on his dream to become a hero, the show’s protagonist will still aid in actual world-saving events. Granted, he will do so because there are goblins involved and he is a specialist on the matter, but why quibble on the details? “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will see Goblin Slayer doing his thing and saving the world.
For now, though, there has been no news as to when “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will be released. In fact, the studio working on the anime has yet to start production, so it might take a while.
