LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18, 2016 -- Greystone, a real estate lending, investment and advisory company, today announced that it has added two senior multifamily sales advisory executives to its Real Estate Advisors group. Rob Shiels and David O’Neil, both Managing Directors, have joined Greystone Real Estate Advisors to provide clients with comprehensive advisory services for both multi-family sales and lending.
Mr. Shiels joins Greystone Real Estate Advisors from Colliers International where he was a Senior Associate specializing in the sale of affordable and market-rate properties. Bringing more than 12 years of experience in real estate, he was directly involved in the sale of more than 3,000 units totaling in excess of $350 million in volume. Prior to entering the Southern California multi-family brokerage industry, Mr. Shiels spent seven years in construction management and real estate investing. His responsibilities included the management of a multimillion-dollar construction company, where he led client relations and was charged with identifying, managing, repositioning and selling residential real estate.
Mr. O’Neil also joins Greystone Real Estate Advisors from Colliers International where he was an associate specializing in the sale of multi-family properties and land for development. He was directly involved in the sale of more than 1,600 units totaling in excess of $225 million in volume. Prior to joining Colliers International, Mr. O’Neil spent ten years at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co (BBH) working in their Boston, New York and London offices. His duties included trading, financial accounting, international relationship management and balance sheet management.
“Rob and David bring a wealth of experience in both the real estate advisory and finance industries and are a powerhouse sales team that will complement Greystone’s ability to support clients in acquiring or divesting multifamily housing assets nationwide,” said Jim McDevitt, president of Greystone Real Estate Advisors group. “With the recent expansion of our presence in the Southeast, we look forward to continuing our growth as a leader in comprehensive multifamily advisory services with the added expertise of Rob and David on the west coast.”
