Joining the lineup of Android smartphones launching this month is the Honor 50 series. A benchmark result from AnTuTu may have revealed some of its core technical specifications just a few days before its official launch.
Honor 50 Pro specs: What to expect
AnTuTu shared on Weibo on Wednesday (via PlayfulDroid) that a new device recently entered its database for a benchmark test with model number RNA-AN00, which has been associated with the upcoming Honor 50 series. The device speculated to be the Honor 50 Pro received an overall score of 525,904.
Honor 50 Pro is reportedly powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G platform with AnTuTu scores of 159,545 on CPU and 157,046 on GPU. The same post claims the device comes with a screen that has 2676 x 1236 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to offer 8GB LPDDR4X memory and 256GB UFS 2.x storage. The same post also echoes previous reports that the Honor 50 Pro could have a 108-megapixel main camera.
Honor 50 Pro release date: Upcoming phone’s design is strangely similar to Huawei P50
Honor has yet to officially confirm the rumored specs, but the company already announced that the series would be unveiled on Wednesday, June 16. In another update earlier this week, Honor’s senior global PR manager Bhavya Siddappa said the event would take place in Shanghai, so it is still unclear if there will be an online stream for tech fans around the world. The device will likely launch first in China, and its global sale could start a few weeks later.

In the same post, Siddappa shared a new teaser photo for the Honor 50 series that understandably started comparisons with the design of the Huawei P50. Huawei confirmed that it would release the P50 series this spring and offered a sneak peek into its next flagship that will sport two massive round camera bumps on the back. The same design layout appears on the Honor 50 series from Saddappa’s tweet, although the main camera is placed on the top camera bump, while the three smaller sensors and the flash are in the lower bump. These placements are reversed on the Huawei P50.
Siddappa also confirmed that the Honor 50 series would feature a “hypercurved screen.” Its battery capacity is still unknown, but the device will support “100W Super Fast Charge tech."
