Jennifer Garner 2018: Actress ‘Not Surprised' That Ben Affleck Is Dating Playboy Model, Still Drove Him to Rehab

Reports cite sources claiming Jennifer Garner is “disappointed” that her estranged husband has been going out on dates with Playboy model Shauna Sexton. But, shortly after, she was spotted driving Affleck allegedly to a rehab facility on Wednesday.

Affleck and Sexton were seen hanging out at a Malibu restaurant on the night of Aug. 16 — a day after the “Justice League” actor’s birthday. Affleck’s breakup with “SNL” producer Lindsay Shookus after a year of dating was only reported few days after the said dinner date with Sexton. Earlier this week, Affleck and the Playboy model were seen together again while going to a fast food restaurant.

Fans cannot expect Jennifer Garner to directly address the dating rumors anytime soon but a couple of reports claim that the actress was disappointed. E! News quoted an insider saying, “She is not surprised in the least bit by Ben's choices … Yes, it's disappointing, but it's nothing new.”

Meanwhile, Us Weekly reports that a “Garner confidant” said the “Alias” alum had known that she “cannot fix Ben.” The same source claimed that the actress was “not pleased” and only hoped Ben Affleck would be more private for the sake of their three kids.

Meanwhile, the estranged couple was actually seen together on Wednesday evening. Reports have it that Garner was driving Affleck to a rehab facility, contrary to claims that she has given up on him.

The 46-year-old actor previously came clean about his struggle with alcoholism. Some reports even suggested that his drinking problems were one of the factors that caused their split.

TMZ reported that Jennifer Garner went to Affleck’s home in Pacific Palisades to stage an intervention. It seemed that Garner’s efforts were successful. Ben Affleck allegedly checked into a live-in rehab facility in Los Angeles the same evening and is expected to stay there for an “extended period of time.”

Interestingly, Garner’s reported intervention for Affleck happened shortly after paparazzi photos surfaced where the actor is seen receiving a delivery in his home. Based on the packaging, reports suggested it was a box of beers and other alcoholic beverages.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had been married since 2005 and announced their separation in 2015. However, Garner only filed the divorce papers in 2017 but a court resolution has not been reached yet, which still makes them a legally married couple.
