CHANDLER, Ariz., Dec. 26, 2017 -- Kadima.Ventures, a transformative collaboration of companies that offers resources to early-stage startups and legacy companies to evolve ideas into advanced technologies, is showing its continued support to Arizona students and the evolution of Arizona as an emerging technology corridor. Kadima is a proud partner of tonight’s Cactus Bowl, as well as the Honeywell Fiesta Bowl Aerospace Challenge, being recognized later this week during the 2017 Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
The Honeywell Fiesta Bowl Aerospace Challenge is the largest extracurricular STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics] program for grade school and junior high school students in Arizona. In this three-day event, student teams between fifth and eighth grade participate in a themed International Logistic Mission to colonize Phobos, a moon of Mars. Over 300 student teams competed across the state of Arizona in 2016-17, and the winning teams will receive scholarships to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center Space Camp, as well as an on-field appearance at the 2017 Fiesta Bowl in Glendale.
Kadima will also be sponsoring the APS Fiesta Bowl Stadium Club Pregame Party in an exclusive area located on the Great Lawn at University of Phoenix Stadium.
This is the latest demonstration of STEM and STEAM [Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics] support by Arizona-based Kadima, who understands the critical role that education systems and schools play in determining girls' and boys' interest in STEM/STEAM subjects, and in providing equal opportunities to access and benefit from quality education.
Tim Wales, Kadima’s co-founder and CEO, is a U.S. Marine veteran, technologist, and serial entrepreneur who truly recognizes the importance that education plays in fostering innovation: “We are extremely proud to be able to support these events, and witness the amazing demonstration of passionate and intelligent young minds in action,” said Wales. “This program, as a part of the STEM initiative, is vital in developing the critical skills of planning, teamwork, and problem-solving that will guide them as they evolve into tomorrow’s leaders of progress and innovation.”
Kadima is inviting emerging technology startups participating in the Fiesta Bowl activities to its inaugural Innovation Fair 2018 on January 30, 2018, at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kadima is extending offers to join them at the Innovation Fair in the form of unique Kadima Invite Coins, which symbolize membership and encourage alliances. The Innovation Fair brings together elite investors, startups, major corporate sponsors, incubators, economic development organizations, and civic groups from around the world to build innovation synergy and engage in a totally new way.
