More teasers arrive as the premiere of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 approaches. The latest promo video released is filled with more romantic scenes between Kaguya and Miyuki. It also offers more look into what happens for the returning and new characters in the next season.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 spoilers
Many snippets of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 have been shared in the latest trailer showing, once again, that Kaguya and Miyuki’s will-they-won’t-they tale will only get exciting as the story develops. It is unclear if an actual confession will happen in season 2, but the newest promo video shows that the main protagonists will only become closer.
The promo video shows them watching the night sky together while in another scene they appear to be walking home together from school. Avid fans also shared a side-by-side comparison of some scenes from the “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 promo video and how they originally looked in the manga. This hints at the anime possibly becoming more dedicated to animating important scenes from the manga much more than what the producers did in season 1.
It is also confirmed in the trailer that “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 will cover the scene where Kaguya secretly wants to have a party for Miyuki’s birthday. But she cannot insist on doing so if Miyuki declares he is not fond of having birthday parties. If Kaguya openly convinces him to do so, she feels it would be tantamount to admitting that she likes the president.
Fans also got more glimpse of the new recurring character in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, Miko Iino. She will appear more in the upcoming installment starting as a rival of Miyuki as president of the student council. Later on, after yet another loss, Miko will receive an invitation to join the council and will offer a new dynamic to the group.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 release date
“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 will premiere on Saturday, April 11 in Japan, and most likely through a simulcast on official streaming platforms. Meanwhile, fans also spotted an announcement that there will be a special episode on April 4, a week before season 2 begins. It was not mentioned what will be featured in the “special broadcast” but it is most likely a recap of the important scenes from season 1.
