SAN DIEGO, Nov. 10, 2016 -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its RT Logic subsidiary was awarded a contract for its Telemetrix 400 Range Receiver (T400RR) equipped with Digital Intermediate Frequency (IF) ingest as part of a program to upgrade an unnamed U.S. Army test site. Additional details of the program were not disclosed.
The T400 is a modular, firmware-defined receiver and digital processing unit designed for both flight test and launch ranges. The standard 2U configuration includes up to eight field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-based receivers, optionally configurable as a dual channel combiner system. The full range of legacy and current Advanced Range Telemetry (ARTM) waveforms is supported.
The input and output of the T400RR Digital IF Demodulator is over IP as it accepts baseband I/Q samples per the VITA-49 standard (VITA-49 enhances capabilities and interoperability for transporting Software Defined Radio data) and Baseband data output is Telemetry over IP (TMoIP) packets. The T400RR provides a high density of processing streams and has the ability to meet processing rates of 40 Mbps for all the ARTM modes.
