Krispy Kreme, Tim Hortons, Wendy’s, Dunkin’ and other major coffee chains in the United States are celebrating National Coffee Day this Friday. For this occasion, the stores offer customers various treats, such as free coffee drinks and huge discounts.
Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away free cups of coffee on Friday, Sept. 29. On this day, customers may avail of a free medium iced or hot coffee with any drinks, donuts, other baked goods, or sandwich purchase.
As per CNBC, Dunkin’ Donuts’ offer applies to its new Nutty Pumpkin Coffee and does not include cold brew drinks. However, it should be noted that to avail of this treat, a customer must be a member of the company’s rewards program. Now, since this is National Coffee Day, Dunkin’ is not the only coffee chain with special deals; its rivals are also offering promos.
National Coffee Day Promotions: Here’s Where to Get Them
Krispy Kreme is offering coffee that is totally free of charge. This means that purchase is not necessary to enjoy a free medium hot or iced coffee. Customers need to walk into the shop and avail the drink.
CNN Business reported that Peet’s Coffee created a website for its Disloyalty Program where customers may complete their registration. Once in, they can use their earned points to get free coffee at any of the chain’s stores.
Tim Hortons will give away free medium iced or hot coffee to customers who spend at least $3 in its restaurant. Then again, this is a special promotion for its rewards program members.
Wendy’s will sell small hot or iced coffees for just 99¢ for purchase through its app. Shipley Do-Nuts, Sheetz, and Circle K Coffee also have special promos for National Coffee Day.
Why People Drink Coffee
The National Coffee Association said that about two-thirds of Americans, or 63% of the population, drink coffee daily. USA Today mentioned that many people drink coffee due to its caffeine, which is believed to help people stay awake and alert.
According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), healthy adults can consume up to five cups of coffee daily to stay within the recommended caffeine limit, which is 400 milligrams a day.
Benefits of Drinking Coffee
Medical research from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health indicated that moderate coffee intake may help drinkers live longer. The beverage may also help prevent several diseases, including heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, and even depression.
