Mariah Carey had a show in Las Vegas last week and the audience was in awe when she appeared onstage with an amazingly slim body. The "Touch My Body" singer flaunted her new figure as she donned revealing gowns and skin-tight outfits.
As reported by Hollywood Life, the 48-year-old singer performed at the Ceasars Palace as part of her “The Butterfly Returns” residency shows that will run until February 2019.
How did she lose up to 50 pounds of excess weight? What was her secret? According to The Sun, Mariah Carey opted for gastric sleeve surgery to get back in shape. The procedure was allegedly done last year.
The singer’s weight shot up after her split with billionaire James Packer. They were also supposed to get married and were already engaged when apparently, things did not work out for them in the end. It was not an amicable separation, so the singer might have been very stressed back then, and this could have contributed to her huge gain weight.
The singer is actually known for her yo-yo dieting. She would engage in intense dieting when she has big projects coming up, but she has the tendency to gain back the weight she lost when her work is done because by then she would freely indulge in her favorite food and drinks.
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey and her manager, Stella Bulochnikov, parted ways in 2017 and they are not on good terms when she was let go. With their situation, The Daily Mail reported that the former manager is threatening to spill nasty secrets about her ex-employer, including her relationship with a new BF and bad dieting habits.
