McDonald's Australia's has come up with something new to offer its customers, but it is not food. The fast-food chain announced the arrival of its swimwear line, and it was done in collaboration with Budgy Smuggler, an Aussie swimwear company.
As mentioned by 7News, the swimsuits line of McDonald's Australia will be available for both men and women. It will also be sold until the summer months is over.
The swimwear collection includes one-piece and two-piece swimsuits for women, Smugglers for men or swim trunks, and bucket hats. Prices for the items start at $55 Australian dollars up to $90.
"We are so excited to bring together two great Aussie icons to create the ultimate summer uniform," McDonald's Australia's senior brand manager, Liz Whitbread, was quoted as saying regarding the collaboration with Budgy Smuggler. "Whether it's lounging on one of Australia's iconic beaches or dipping in and out of the pool, this summer is all about doing things we love with people we love."
Customers can directly buy any of the items via the Budgy Smuggler website. It was noted that the swimwear is McDonald's Australia's next project after launching the Tim Tam McFlurry in November 2020. It was a successful launch but the item was only available for a limited time.
The reveal of McDonald's Australia's swimwear range surprised many people since fast-food does not often offer these types of items. All the products bear the Ronald McDonald theme design and they are available in bright colors.
Fans can already buy any of the bikinis or trunks that feature french fries and other iconic McDonald's food and emblems as the designs. Budgy Smuggler in Australia was named after the slang that means tight briefs of men.
Finally, McDonald's Australia promises that the limited edition swimwear are high quality, eye-catching, bold, and fun to wear. She said that everyone could perfectly enjoy the summer in style with their new swimwear line.
"This summer is all about doing things we love with people we love and the range of swimwear is perfect for enjoying the summer season in style," Whitbread added.
