“Brian is sought after by our clients due to his ability to help resolve complex litigation in the most efficient, client goal-oriented manner. He is an outstanding resource for our clients with operations in the nation’s financial center,” said Rudy Aguilar, Managing Member of McGlinchey Stafford. “We are pleased to have Brian as a leader in our New York City office and on our Commercial Litigation team. It is my pleasure to congratulate Brian on becoming a Member of our firm.”
McGrath has almost two decades of commercial litigation experience including handling landmark patent litigation, complex antitrust matters, and labor disputes. Most recently, he has focused on representing financial institutions, including mortgage loan servicers, in a variety of litigation matters involving mortgage servicing, lender liability, consumer protection statutes, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA). McGrath’s practice requires him to routinely appear in state and federal courts, including conducting hearings and trials and engaging in complex motion practice. McGrath also has a substantial appellate practice, and he previously served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Kings County.
McGrath said, “I am proud to be named a new Member of McGlinchey Stafford. I look forward to continuing to build my practice and work with clients alongside the firm’s talented attorneys and staff in New York City as well as nationwide.”
He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from The State University of New York, University at Buffalo Law School in 2000, and his B.A. from The State University of New York at Geneseo in 1996.
