Melania Trump was recently lambasted for attending the State of the Union address with Donald Trump.
Eagle-eyed critics couldn’t help but notice how nervous and terrified the FLOTUS looked during the outing. Some of them even offered possible reasons why the first lady always looks uneasy when she’s with the POTUS.
“Anyone else ever wonder why Melania Trump looks slightly terrified or at best uneasy/nervous whenever she’s on camera with Trump? I know I would be if I was married to that baboon. Still interesting observation, I think,” Twitter user @megan_jessop said.
“Why does Melania look so nervous and troubled when she looks at Trump?” Twitter user @maualibar said.
“I have not seen Melania Trump in one public situation where she doesn’t have the eyes of a terrified hostage. Help that lady!” another Twitter user wrote.
“The evil witch doesn't look too happy, the vodka and Xanax must not have kicked in yet,” Twitter user @Gregory said.
Meanwhile, some netizens couldn’t also help but wonder why Melania received a standing ovation when she arrived at the venue. After all, they are convinced that she hasn’t done anything much like the first lady of the United States.
“Tell me one thing Melania Trump has done to deserve a standing ovation? Dear God!” one Twitter user wrote.
“That standing ovation for the first hooker lady sounded like as if she gave a lot of service to the GOP since they moved into the WH,” Twitter user @Madfurby said.
“I’m sorry, what has @FLOTUS done to get a standing ovation? #eyeroll,” Twitter user @BHamy93 said.
Some supporters of the first lady were convinced that the standing ovation was well-deserved.
“And what a well-deserved standing ovation! We love you! Thank you for all of your devotion and support!” Twitter user @jamiegrahamusa said.
@FLOTUS deserves such standing ovation at the cite of her name. We are very pleased to have such an elegant, pragmatic, thriving, hard-working, best of the best first lady. #SOTU,” Twitter user @MadgieNicolas said.
