Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were one of the celebrities whose home was engulfed by flames brought about by the fatal Woolsey Fire that hit California more than a week ago. Apart from turning lush properties into ashes, the wildfire also claimed many lives and destroyed communities.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth home were totally destroyed and it happened while the former was away. Fortunately, the latter was home so he was able to save their beloved pets and animals.
Following the fire, the “Wrecking Ball” singer tweeted, "My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong." She also shared to her fans that her man, Liam Hemsworth, and her animals were, fortunately, all safe.
On the other hand, Liam shared a black and white photo of what was left in their home in Malibu. He also wrote a long message and conveyed how heartbreaking the situation was because many people also died.
The said wildfire was recorded to be the deadliest in the history of California after it claimed 71 lives and the count is still going up as there are at least 1,000 more people who are missing. The fire is still going on and it was reported that firefighters already contained at least 50 percent.
Aside from Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, the other celebrities who lost their homes to the fire include Robin Thicke and April Love Geary, Neil Young, Kim Basinger, Gerard Butler, Tracey Bregman, and Camille Grammer. Other celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Pierce Brosnan, and Lady Gaga were only asked to evacuate for safety but so far their properties are still safe from the fire.
Meanwhile, despite being victims themselves, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus donated $500,000 to a fundraising campaign that aims to help others who need financial and emergency relief assistance, community rebuilding and wildfire prevention.
