LEXINGTON, Mass., Feb. 13, 2018 -- Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ:MIME), a leading email and data security company, today announced it has moved its North American headquarters to Lexington, Massachusetts. The move from its former location in Watertown, Massachusetts will help accommodate the company’s rapid growth and further enable the company to tap into the competitive pool of high-tech talent in the greater Boston area. Mimecast will hold a ribbon cutting at 2:00 p.m. ET on February 15, 2018 to celebrate the new office space at 191 Spring Street in Lexington, MA. Mimecast is honored to have Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker as a featured guest.
Mimecast’s new home offers ample space to house the company’s growing 360 Massachusetts-based employees – as it doubled the size to 79,000 square feet. The new office will allow for continued expansion in all areas of the business including sales, engineering, customer service and marketing. The extra space enables the company to expand the perks offered to employees such as: an open work environment, free gourmet lunch 4-days a week, covered parking, a gym, and a 1,600 foot roof deck. Additionally, the building has a sustainable design with features including a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system, which generates 21 percent less energy than a typical building.
Employees benefit from the centrally located office with easy access to downtown Boston as well as Massachusetts’ metro west. Aside from being easily accessible by highway and major airports, the space complements Mimecast’s unique, creative and vibrant corporate culture.
“Mimecast has been in the Boston-area for nearly 10 years, and the company has seen tremendous growth since we first made our footprint with five employees in a small office in Waltham,” said Peter Bauer, CEO & Chairman, Mimecast. “Mimecast’s success is the result of vision, passion and dedication of our employees known as ‘Mimecasters’ and the focus on customer success around the globe.”
