It has been over three years since Miranda Lambert got divorced from Blake Shelton. But there are still so-called insiders that insist she still misses her ex-husband especially when he gets all lovey-dovey with Gwen Stefani during Hollywood events.
While Lambert is obviously busy making music, a source of HollywoodLife suggested that the country music star has most likely started longing for her ex upon seeing him with Stefani recently. As expected, the “Hollaback Girl” singer and the “The Voice” coach arrived together at the 44th People’s Choice Awards. Later, their social media pages were later filled with happy photos from that evening.
The same report said Stefani is hoping not to experience what Lambert is allegedly feeling about Shelton right now. “Gwen knows Blake’s a one in a million kind of guy. He’s not a guy that’s easy to get over, so it makes total sense to her that Miranda would feel pangs of regret and jealousy,” the source explained.
It was also presumed that Miranda Lambert was inspired by her past relationship with Blake Shelton when her band Pistol Annies wrote and recorded the song “When I Was His Wife.” A couple of lines from the song reads, “His love is enough to keep me satisfied / I said that too when I was his wife.”
However, Gossip Cop countered HollywoodLife’s report and insisted that Lambert was not "envious" of Stefani and Shelton’s romantic evening at the 44th People’s Choice Awards. The fact-checking news outlet argued that Shelton and Stefani have attended many events for the past three years even the ones where that Lambert was also present.
Lambert was reportedly never jealous of the couple. Gossip Cop also reiterated a previous statement from the singer’s rep that said reports of this nature were a “complete fantasy made up.”
Meanwhile, Lambert obviously has a bigger fight to face other than the alleged jealousy over Shelton’s happy relationship. Her record with Jason Aldean titled “Drowns the Whiskey” was named Billboard's Country Airplay no. 1 hit last August.
On the surface, this seems like a reason to celebrate but Miranda Lambert explained why it was not. “Yes, I had to sing with someone with a penis to get a number one,” the country music star told the Washington Post.
