“NCIS” season 16 episode 16 took a short break after it aired “Crossing the Line” on Feb. 26. When it returns it will feature the story titled “Bears and Cubs” and it will move away from where the story left off in the previous episode where Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) was tasked to guide high school interns.
As per CBS’ press release, “NCIS” season 16 episode 16’s Bears and Cubs’ synopsis reads: “Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) is torn between family and work after his father-in-law, Ed (Larry Miller) after he asks him to tamper with evidence from NCIS’ current murder investigation.”
Additionally, “Ed’s poker buddy, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner), offers to help with the case.”
Apparently, “NCIS” season 16 episode 16 will center on Jimmy and his family. In particular, his relationship with his father-in-law will be highlighted as the latter tried to push his son-in-law to do something illegal. Ed also knows that this will put Jimmy’s reputation and job on the line but he still chose to ask his son-in-law to commit a crime by tampering with evidence.
In the “NCIS” season 16 episode 16 trailer, Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is shown instructing his team to look for any blood trail and paw prints while they were investigating a murder in the forest. This suggests that the team assumed that the victim died after being mauled by an animal, a bear to be exact.
Then again, it seems that there is more to the case and it could be not another simple “animal attack on human” case. This suspicion is based on Ed’s actions and he wants to wrap up the investigation fast by saying, “Call it a bear attack, it’s a matter of life and death.”
Meanwhile, the guest cast for “NCIS” season 16 episode 16 include Robert Wagner (Anthony DiNozzo, Sr.), Larry Miller (Ed Slater), Francois Chau (Henry Deng), Ping Wu (Peter Liu), Stephen Caffrey (Kevin Braddish), Jacob Zachar (Stevie Slater) and Connie Jackson (Elaine). This story was written by Scott Williams and directed by Diana Valentine.
Catch “NCIS” season 16 episode 16 on March 12 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
