“Narcos” season 4 will be an all-new drama because it will be very different from the first three seasons. It will feature a new location, new story, and new cast. And since the setting has changed, the official title for the fourth season has been renamed as well and it is now being called “Narcos: Mexico.”
As the title suggests, “Narcos” season 4 will move from Colombia to Mexico. The change of location is necessary as it was revealed that the main plot would be about the history of the modern drug cartels.
It will focus on how the illegal business was built and grow to be a multi-million dollar trade. To be more specific, “Narcos” season 4 will show the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel that was first organized in 1980.
Moreover, “Narcos” season 4 will show how the DEA try to contain the expanding problem with illegal substances. It will be a cat, and mouse chasing game as the agents go after the cartel boss, Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) and his group of criminals. An undercover agent named Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) will never give up until he can lock up Luna and eventually stop his operations.
Meanwhile, Diego Luna recently had a chat with Variety, and he revealed that “Narcos” season 4 is a good drama that must be watched by everyone. The actor said that it could help spread awareness about illegal drugs and people will know how it is affecting our world today so he hopes many would watch it.
“The beauty of this series is that hopefully it can trigger curiosity in audiences to go deeper and go research a little more,” he said. “To read about it, to see documentaries, to open the newspapers looking for clues about this situation.”
“Narcos” season 4 is set to premiere on Nov. 16 on Netflix. Fans can binge-watch all of its 10 episodes when it is finally released.
