CINCINNATI, March 05, 2018 -- ArtWorks and Olay announce a “Light as Air” themed public art contest inspired by the new Olay Whips moisturizer.
The contest is open to Greater Cincinnati female artists to develop public art activations inspired by Olay Whips' moisturizer line. ArtWorks will manage a juried design competition for public art that will launch in the spring of 2018.
“This partnership brings together Olay’s passion of celebrating women that are boldly living their lives and pursuing their passion with ArtWorks’ mission of training summer apprentices to produce public art,” said Alexis Schrimpf, Design Director and Brand Experience Leader for Olay at Procter & Gamble. “We look forward to seeing some amazing designs inspired by and evoking the feel of Light as Air.”
The selected artwork will be installed in clusters of vinyl mini murals and large-scale sculptural installations in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood as well as the Central Business District of Cincinnati. Winning submissions also will be featured on olay.com and national advertising opportunities.
The top submission will earn $10,000, while second and third place will be awarded $5,000 each and fourth and fifth places will receive $2,500 each.
The contest closes on Wednesday, March 7. Submissions will be reviewed starting March 12, and artists will receive notice of their selection on March 23. All artwork will be installed by June 8 and will be on display through August.
