NORWALK, Conn., March 08, 2018 -- On International Women’s Day, GoodSport, a content company focused exclusively on positive sports storytelling, announces plans to launch GoodSport Women. This video-centric multi-platform destination will highlight inspirational women from all corners of the sports world. The first phase begins in March 2018, in celebration of Women’s History Month, with the debut of several new exclusive pieces -- including the unfolding story of “Rama,” a Senegalese basketball player in America with big dreams that go far beyond the game she plays and a profile on American actress and Paralympic track and field star, Katy Sullivan.
“Working closely with sports figures, coaches, hometown heroes, and grassroots organizations, we’ve always tried to illuminate those who are making a difference in their communities and the across the globe,” said GoodSport Founder, Paul Bremer. “There are so many under-told stories of female sports figures and GoodSport Women allows us to showcase role models who blend their skills and voice to make a positive impact on society.”
As part of the GoodSport Women launch, the company will unveil GoodSport’s Social Influence Index—a dynamic tracker that scores the purpose-driven influence of popular sports figures. By analyzing cause-related social media posts, the index will be a unique indicator of how sports influencers use their platforms to help others. More news on the Social Influence Index and GoodSport Women partnerships to come.
