‘Outlander’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers: Show Honors Roger’s Contributions, Jaimie and Claire Tease Season Details

“Outlander” Season 4 is almost here and fans are champing at the bits to dive into the time-traveling romance and see what Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have been up to. At the same time, it would seem that the folks behind the show have decided to honor another of its characters, Roger (Richard Rankin). They did so via a video compilation of his scenes that was posted on social media.

The trailer about Roger was posted on the official Twitter account of Outlander, which depicted scenes about the show’s resident historian. Fans will likely already know about his substantial contributions to reuniting Claire and Jaimie, and for pushing Bree (Sophie Skelton) to pursue the same path in “Outlander” Season 4.

“Our favorite historian is back and better than ever,” the post’s caption reads.

Those who have already read the books that are the source materials for the series will already know what further roles Roger will play in “Outlander” Season 4. It’s safe to say that he is not that small of a side-character, after all.

Speaking of events in “Outlander” Season 4, Sam Heughan recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly. The actor provided a glimpse into where the main characters now find themselves in and what fans can expect from their favorite fantasy couple.

“Throughout the last three seasons, we’ve had them discover each other, go through this honeymoon period, and then try to establish themselves a home,” the actor told the publication. “This is an opportunity to really ground themselves and find a home together. Certainly, for Jamie, it’s been something that he’s desperately wanted for a long time. He’s always wanted to be the Laird, have his family and settle down. Claire has finally come back to him and now they get this opportunity.”

“Outlander” Season 4 will premiere on Nov. 4 on Starz. Fans will want to keep that date in mind.
