“Ozark” season 3 has yet to be confirmed and Netflix still needs to decide whether to greenlight or cancel the show. The first season was released in July last year and it got good feedback, thus it was renewed for another installment.
As per Express, the second season was confirmed for renewal in August 2017 and there will be 10 episodes in all. It added that filming for “Ozark” season 2 began in autumn and it is still ongoing. The shoot is currently being held in Atlanta, Georgia.
With the first season’s decent viewership rating, the new batch of episodes is also expected to rank well in its timeslot. And perhaps, if the series will also do well again, “Ozark” season 3 will happen. The second season is all set to premiere on Aug, 31, TV Line reported.
Yes, “Ozark” season 3 is not yet confirmed since season 2 has yet to air. The confirmation for the third installment’s renewal may come early depending on the results with the upcoming “Ozark” season 2.
What Is It About?
It is a crime drama that tells the story of Marty Byrde, a Chicago financial advisor. Unfortunately, he is also involved in illegal activities as he has been laundering money together with Bruce, his partner. The men have been working for a drug lord, Camino del Rio, who works for a big drug cartel.
With the trouble that this work brought to Marty and his wife Wendy, they must now relocate for the sake of their family and children. They will settle in a new place and start over.
Cast
“Ozark” season 3, if renewed, is expected to feature Jason Bateman (Marty Byrde), Laura Linney (Wendy Byrde), Sofia Hublitz (Charlotte Byrde) Skylar Gaertner, (Jonah Byrde), Julia Garner (Ruth Langmore), Jordana Spiro (Rachel Garrison), Jason Butler Harner (Roy Petty), Peter Mullan (Jacob Snell) and Lisa Emery (Darlene Snell).
For some recurring roles, Josh Randall (Bruce Liddell), McKinley Belcher III (Trevor Evans) and Robert C. Treveliar (Sheriff John Nix) may also appear again as support cast members.
Air Date
“Ozark” season 3 has no premiere date yet because it is still not in production. Plus, as mentioned earlier, season 2 should air and conclude first before the third season proceeds.
