Pauley Perrette has been part of “NCIS” for more than a decade and it was said to see her go just because of a misunderstanding with her co-star with whom she had worked with for a long time. It can be recalled that when the actress announced that she will be making her exit from the long-running police procedural drama, it was rumored that she got into a fight with Mark Harmon which led to the decision.
Although she originally explained that this was not the case, a series of post on Twitter seem to suggest that she experienced harassment on the set and her words also appear to be throwing shade at Mark Harmon. Based on the reports at that time, Pauley Perrette approached “NCIS” lead actor, Mark Harmon, and confronted him about his dog that he brought on the set while they were filming.
The actress argued with Mark Harmon because his dog bit a crew and it was not just a small bite. The wound was said to have been stitched because it was deep and a few centimeters long. Apparently, Mark Harmon still brought his pets to the set even if there was an accident involving them already and this was why Pauley Perrette confronted him on behalf of the crew. Then again, this claim was never confirmed or addressed but many believed that this happened and was the real reason why Pauley Perrette left “NCIS.”
Now, after leaving the show, how is Pauley Perrette nowadays? While she is not so active on TV, fans still see her frequently because she is an activist. In fact, prior to the U.S. midterm elections, she has been actively asking people to vote against misogyny and bigotry.
Moreover, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette’s close friend and former co-star said that it will not be long when his friend will be back on small screen. In his interview with People back in September 2018, he said, “I know that Pauley Perrette will be back in some capacity. And I think that she's gonna be - I think everyone misses her already, and she'll be back and funnier than ever."
