MIAMI, Nov. 08, 2016 -- Perry Ellis International (Nasdaq:PERY) announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with Peerless Clothing International for boy's tailored clothing, namely suits, sport coats, suit separates, dress pants, dress shirts and neckties under the Perry Ellis Portfolio® trademark in the U.S. and Canada.
The Perry Ellis collection will be distributed in department stores and better specialty stores with a product launch in Spring 2017.
As a designer, Perry Ellis played with fashion convention simply by not taking it so seriously. Following only what felt right. In doing so, he redefined the fashion industry. Today, this philosophy continues to inspire the Perry Ellis brand which offers an updated, modern play on classics - designed for those who want to follow their own individual sense of style. That's what it means to be...Very Perry.
"We are enthusiastic about working with Peerless Clothing International. This collaboration is consistent with our initiatives to expand the Perry Ellis brand and we look forward to introducing the brand to a new generation of consumers," commented George Feldenkreis, Executive Chairman of Perry Ellis International.
"We are excited to partner with Perry Ellis on the Portfolio brand in boys, where we feel there is a need for boys fashion at this level. This is a very exciting opportunity for our company," said Ronny Wurtzburger, President of Peerless Clothing International.
