Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s wedding is one of the most anticipated celebrity nuptials to date, more so in India, where the Bollywood actress is famous. Despite having dated for several months, the couple is comfortable speeding things up and is ready to tie the knot.
In fact, if the rumors are to believed, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are going to walk the aisle next month. Filmfare claims that a source close to the couple revealed to them this information, adding that the event will take place in Jodhpur, India.
What’s more, the publication also reported that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas limited their guests to 200 people, with most of the attendees being close friends and family members. But not every event related to the wedding will be held in India as the Bollywood star supposedly wants her bridal shower to take place in New York.
The Big Apple was chosen by Priyanka Chopra since most of her close friends reside in the city. The close friends and families of the two have been overly supportive of their decision, with Nick Jonas’s parents even flying to India to attend the traditional Roka ceremony. This simple gathering kick-starts a Punjabi wedding and is attended by close family members of the bride and groom.
“We have performed a puja [a prayer ritual] for a happy and a prosperous life of Priyanka Chopra and Nicki Jonas,” said the priest who helmed the event. “After Lord Ganesha’s puja, they performed their engagement ceremony. All the family members were present at the puja.”
During the visit, Priyanka Chopra reportedly received a diamond bracelet from Nick Jonas’s parents, a gift that the Bollywood actress has worn in several dates with her fiancé. As for the authenticity of the report on the wedding date itself, it still unclear if it will truly occur in November.
Priyanka Chopra’s mother previously said that no wedding will take place this year and the ceremony will likely take place in 2019. Rumors are also rife regarding this, with the previous whispers speculating that the ceremony will be held this month. And so far that hasn’t come to pass. Right now, it’s safe to assume that PC and Nick Jonas will have their wedding next year instead of next month, especially since preparations are still being drafted.
