Fans of Cartoon Network's runaway hit would know that the show's growing popularity is only matched by the length of time fans have to wait until “Rick and Morty” season 4 is ready for broadcast. For a show that has only had three seasons since it debuted in 2013, it seems the “Rick and Morty” hype is going to new levels.
Recently, “Rick and Morty” won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program with its season 3 episode “Pickle Rick.”

While this gives fans something unexpectedly new to cheer about while waiting for “Rick and Morty” season 4, the bigger surprise is how far the show has penetrated the Emmy Awards. IGN recently posted a clip of Rick and Morty doing the presentation for the 2018 Emmy Awards. In the clip, Rick and Morty in tuxedos are tasked to present the winner for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program.

The clip includes a short joke from the two characters as they announce that “RuPaul's Drag Race” wins the award. If the Emmy Award hype is not tickling fans into excitement during the “Rick and Morty” drought, those waiting will be glad to know that production on “Rick and Morty” season 4 has officially started.
Dan Harmon has already shared photos of a sound booth, confirming that voice-overs are currently being processed for the show's upcoming installment. For those concerned about the state of the show's animation, Harmon also posted a video on Instagram with the “Rick and Morty” season 4 animators hard at work in the background.
Fans who have also waited in anticipation for the show's last season may find Harmon's words familiar and slightly reassuring. Hopefully, Dan Harmon can post more updates about what goes on behind the scenes for “Rick and Morty” season 4 leading up to the show's eventual broadcast.
