“Riverdale” season 3 episode 2 spoilers are here and next week’s installment is titled “Chapter Thirty-Seven: Fortune and Men's Eyes.” It will reveal a new mystery and the teens in Riverdale will set out to investigate.
As per TV Time, the official synopsis for “Riverdale” season 3 episode 2 reads: “After a gruesome discovery is made in the forest, Jughead and Betty team up to investigate Riverdale's latest mystery; Moose decides to join the RROTC.”
It added, “As Archie navigates his new surroundings, Veronica devises a plan to bring a bit of home to him. Elsewhere, when Moose decides to join the RROTC, Kevin worries he may be pulling away from him.”
It appears that someone will discover something terrible in the woods and fans have to watch “Riverdale” season 3 episode 2 to find out what Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) saw in there. By the sound of it, it is possible that they have stumbled upon a dead body and decide to launch their own detective work.
The synopsis also mentions Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) exploring his new surroundings. And since he was on trial for murder after Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) framed him for murder in the season 2 finale, could this mean that he is now in jail? Did the judge (Penelope Ann Miller) handed down a guilty verdict? It seems to be the case as he was sent to a juvenile detention.
Commenting on the new mystery that Betty and Jughead are about to probe, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Entertainment Weekly, “One of my favorite things recently was the first season of True Detective, and we’re sort of telling a similar ritualistic crime that happens in Riverdale.”
“We jokingly call it teen detectives meets True Detective, because we find Betty and Jughead investigating this really disturbing crime that seems to speak to the very twisted history of Riverdale.”
“Riverdale” season 3 episode 2 will air on Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
