Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan had lots of steamy scenes in the “Outlander” series and they look natural doing those. Everyone knows that such scenes are hard to do and while the said actors look “natural” are they comfortable filming them? How do they feel about it?
Caitriona Bale said that it was very challenging for her to do those sex scenes with Sam Heughan and added that it was actually her first time to film such raunchy scenes so she prepared a lot for her role. She went on to say that there was awkwardness between her and her leading man at first but they slowly overcame them as filming progresses and they became really close.
“Of course, those scenes are always difficult, especially scenes with sexual violence. This season, we dealt with issues of slavery, with land rights issues and the treatment of Native Americans,” Caitriona Balfe told Global News when asked if she finds it hard to film intimate and controversial scenes.
On the other hand, Sam Heughan revealed that he too had a hard time filming the love scenes with Caitriona Balfe. He said that although he feels comfortable with his leading lady, he still sometimes find it difficult to do the steamy scenes with her. He added, that he simply find all the lovey-dovey moments hard to film because he is not comfortable with acting them out.
In any case, regardless of the discomforts that Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan feel in filming the sexy moments, fans do not see that because they actually find those scenes realistic and passionate. This is just a proof of their great chemistry as an on-screen couple.
Meanwhile, Caitriona Bale is marrying her fiance Tony McGill soon. She said that they will tie the knot as soon as they start to prepare for it.
