Samsung devices keep popping up on various leaks in recent weeks. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has appeared in a certification listing that sheds light on some of its specifications.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 specs
The Chinese version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has passed through a TENAA certification, as spotted by MyFixGuide, revealing details about the device’s dimensions. Under “Parameter information,” the device reportedly measures 166 x 72.2 x 7.3mm when unfolded. These numbers are slightly smaller than last year’s modern flip phone, which has the dimensions of 167.3 x 73.6 x 7.2mm, suggesting that the upcoming device should be easier to store in pockets.
Renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 have been leaked for some time now, and they confirmed that Samsung is increasing the size of the cover display, which the TENAA listing indicates will measure 1.9 inches. That is almost double the size of the 2020 Galaxy Z Flip, but it remains to be seen if there will be added content that can be displayed on the external screen.
The certification did not provide the folding screen’s measurement, though. But based on the listed dimensions, Samsung fans might not see a significant change from last year’s 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also listed to sport a combination of 2300mAh and 903mAh batteries, hinting it would be around the same capacity as its predecessor.
The leaked designs shared by Evan Blass also show that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 will retain a dual-camera array on the back, while a hole-punch front-facing sensor can be seen in the renders. Samsung is also not increasing the number of SIM card slots in the upcoming device, per the same certification listing. The 2020 flip smartphone only had one slot for a nano-SIM, but it supported eSIM.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 release date, pricing
The next Galaxy Unpacked is slated on Aug. 11, according to several reliable leakers. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is likely joined by the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Buds 2, and Galaxy S21 FE at the event.
Meanwhile, a report posted on Naver has claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 could be priced between KRW 1.2 million (~$1,048) to KRW 1.28 million (~$1,118).
