Selena Gomez fans will be delighted to now that the pop star is doing great months after she reportedly checked out of a psychiatric rehab facility. While she is yet to make music comeback, she has been spotted spending time with her closest friends, recently with best friend Taylor Swift and Cazzie David.
Swift shared a group selfie with the caption “20wineteen” on her Instagram page on Thursday with Gomez and David. The women have big smiles on their faces after what seems like a dinner get-together with the former Disney Channel star holding up what looks like a coffee mug and the “Reputation” star enjoying a glass of white wine, hence the caption.
There is no doubt that Gomez and Swift have maintained a good bond over the years even appearing to support one another during major music awards. Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, also previously told Entertainment Tonight, “What I love about that friendship is it's so solid, and with Taylor, I feel like they can tell each other anything, and it will be an honest, in-your-best-interest kind of relationship.”
Weeks after Selena Gomez was reported back home from an East Coast rehab facility, sources claim the pop star decided to maintain a low-profile life for the meantime. She has apparently been spending those times with friends and family.
Just this Wednesday, Gomez also spent time with friends Raquelle Stevens and Anna Collins as evidenced by their social media posts. The women enjoyed a laid-back horseback riding session, which PEOPLE recalled was one of the preferred therapeutic activities by the “Back To You” singer. “I was in the countryside and never did my hair; I took part in equine therapy, which is so beautiful,” Gomez said in her September 2017 cover story for InStyle.
Aside from being vocal about her mental health struggles, Gomez has also been battling with lupus. There were reports in October 2018 that she needed to be hospitalized twice for low white blood cells count. That allegedly led to an emotional breakdown, TMZ reported.
