Looks like things have been moving along for Stranger Things season 4 despite the coronavirus (CoVid-19) crisis after its writers room tweeted a photo of a stack of scripts with the caption "Stranger Things 4: the complete season."
And, it looks like the much-awaited season 4 will have nine episodes.
Last March, we were treated to the cast reuniting for the table read before all productions of films and television shows were put on hold due to the CoVid-19 pandemic.
And, the break seemed to have given the writers enough time to complete the script for the entire season 4.
With films and TV production tentatively resuming production now, fans are hoping that work for season 4 will go full blast so we can finally know the answers that season 3 of the supernatural series left us with.
With season 3 released last July, many thought season 4 would have followed last April. This was dashed, however, when Netflix announced on Valentine's Day this year that production just got underway for season 4.
According to Radio Times, Hira Koda, the stunt boss, had revealed that the Stranger Things team had managed to wrap up two episodes before the CoVid put on hold pretty much everything around the world.
This claim was even backed up by Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, saying that they were already in the middle of filming season 4 when production was called off.
However, even with that, we may be looking at a release date of 2021 yet considering that this series really takes its time in wrapping up things, as stated by Cartermatt.
Netflix released the first season in 2016 with eight episodes, then season 2 which has been ramped up to nine episodes in October 17.
