In the more recent years, 12-year-old Suri Cruise has always been photographed with her mother Katie Holmes but not with her father Tom Cruise. A report just claimed that the latter is hoping to change that in time for the holidays.
There have been several reports over the past month insisting that Tom is finally making plans to be with her daughter. Recently, Heat magazine’s source said the young girl is “missing her dad more than ever.” And in the spirit of holidays, the same report suggests that Suri will finally get the chance to bond with her Hollywood superstar dad.
However, Gossip Cop inquired the accuracy of the report through Holmes’ spokesperson. It turns out the story was not true and Suri will be with her mother throughout the holidays just like it had been for years.
There are several theories surrounding Tom Cruise and Suri Cruise’s relationship. Since they have not been seen together for years, many believe that they are estranged and suggest that religion has something to do with it. Holmes got primary physical custody since her divorce from Tom in 2012. She then reportedly cut ties with the Church of Scientology and the same goes for Suri.
Us Weekly reported in October that Tom is actually allowed to see his daughter for 10 days every month but it was allegedly his choice not to be with Suri “in years.” The source further claimed that the main reason was that Suri did not grow up practicing his religion. None of the parties involved have addressed the issue so it is best for fans to take this news with a pinch of salt.
On other news, Katie Holmes seems unaffected by these recurring rumors about Suri Cruise and Tom Cruise’s supposed reunion, especially as she celebrates her 40th birthday on Tuesday. For her birthday, the “Dawson’s Creek” alum shared a photo on Instagram where a painting of angel wings is seen behind her.
