“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 4 will see Eugeo and Kirito attempt to rescue Selka from a bunch of goblins, but things don’t go well for the duo. The woodcutter is paralyzed with fear while the swordsman gets severely wounded. Over the course of the episode, Eugeo will sustain an injury in the stomach that could make him the show’s first real casualty.
With the rescue attempt being his first real experience in fighting monsters, it’s only to be expected that Eugeo would not have the same battle reaction as Kirito. In fact, he is frozen in fright until forced to act in “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 4 to save his companion. As a preview clip for the episode shows, Eugeo ends up getting seriously hurt after receiving a slash to his stomach.
It would seem that even with all of his previous experience, Kirito’s current form simply does not allow him to completely obliterate the goblins as he would have done in his days as the black swordsman. If there is one good thing to come out of the disaster that is “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 4, it’s the fact that his stolen memories come back.
While attempting to save Eugeo, Kirito will even hear a voice in his head instructing him to head for Central Cathedral, OtakuKart reports. Is this Alice reaching out to him or is it coming from another mysterious source who has a stake in helping the protagonist? “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 4 could be where the show’s story starts taking off in earnest.
“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 4 is scheduled to air on Oct. 28. It’s a chance for fans to see Kirito in one his more vulnerable states and see how he copes when he is outmatched by weak creatures.
