With “The 100” Season 6 employing a massive time-jump and placing the protagonists on a whole different planet, fans of the books have now been left in the dark. However, it’s expected that the showrunners will still take inspiration from its source material.
Whatever it is, executive producer Jason Rothenberg assured that the plotline of “The 100” Season 6 will be a satisfying story to follow. “We tell a different story every year so we don't get bored with it. I still have an end story in mind, but I don't know when that end is going to be and I feel very, very confident that I'll get to tell it eventually.”
Right now, “The 100” Season 6 will have one of its major plot points revolve around Jordan (Shannon Kook). Rothenberg explained that the interaction of the other characters to Jordan will take center stage in the upcoming entry. Naturally, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley) will play the doting aunt and uncle, while Murphy (Richard Harmon) will be the corruptor.
Apart from character interactions, Jordan’s wide-eyed innocence will also be highlighted in “The 100” Season 6. It would be interesting to see how this character will transform throughout the installment as he’s surrounded with people that are the complete opposite of him. People that have blood in their hands and guilt in their conscience.
Regarding the potential big bad of “The 100” Season 6, “Teen Wolf” alum J.R. Bourne is expected to take up this mantle. Bourne will be playing a character named Russel described as someone who’s charismatic, a visionary, and an individual who’ll be making the difficult choices that a few are willing to take.
Russell will be leading the inhabitants of the new Goldilocks planet that the protagonists find themselves in. What’s more, he’ll be developing a “complicated relationship” with Clarke, which spells trouble for the newcomers to say the least. As for when “The 100” Season 6 will air, CW has scheduled it to drop on April 30.
