“The 100” season 6 is one of the shows that was included in CW’s previous mass renewal order. Since being renewed, the sci-fi drama immediately dived into production and the cast and crew are working at a steady pace thus filming is proceeded fast and it wrapped up in the second week of February.
And there is good news, while “The 100” season 6 is not yet on air, CW president Mark Pedowitz revealed a good future for the show. He shared that showrunner Jason Rothenberg has plans for season 7 and this is the same as confirming there will be more stories once the sixth installment concludes.
"Jason Rothenberg does have a really good idea for his seventh season," TV Guide quoted the CW head as saying. “We'll see where we're at, that's a May thing."
Previously, Pedowitz also said, “He (Jason Rothenberg) may have a six or seven-year plan to it. I don't know if I'm allowed to even say that, that he has a plan beyond year five, but he does.”
Plot
“The 100” season 6 will go forward from season 5’s finale episode titled “Damocles Part 2.” By this time, the team has woken up from their cryosleep and they will find themselves in a new land after escaping from Earth. However, Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) and Harper (Chelsey Reist) will not be around anymore as they secretly opted out from going into cryosleep to be saved.
Monty and Harper will die but they will leave behind a son named Jordan. When Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) wake up in “The 100” season 6, they will meet Jordan and it is yet to see if they will go well together or there will be conflict between them since they are basically strangers.
Moreover, in September 2018, Jason Rothenberg disclosed the location for “The 100” season 6 and said that it will present a story and scenarios that “the viewers have never seen before.” The team will land in a new world and based on the teaser photos, the new planet looks like a barren land with beautiful nature.

Also, it appears that the group of survivors will be met and led by a new leader in “The 100” season 6. It was said that he is a resident who rules the planet that the team landed on.
“The 100” season 6 will air on April 30 9 p.m. on CW, replacing “Roswell.”
