OAHU, Hawaii, Feb. 08, 2016 -- The Berry Company, LLC, proud publisher of the Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages, announced a new campaign, #SmallBizBigOutcome, which celebrates and rewards small businesses that are doing their part to make a difference in their local community. Berry recently launched SmallBizBigOutcome.com, an online hub dedicated to spotlighting small businesses working to create positive change.
#SmallBizBigOutcome Oahu Contest
To kick off the campaign, Berry is encouraging businesses across Oahu to share how they are contributing to a more environmentally friendly Hawaii for the chance to win small business marketing services. Entry into the #SmallBizBigOutcome contest is simple. Businesses will share a post on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram about the unique ways they are repurposing, reusing or recycling. Entries must include #SmallBizBigOutcome and tag The Berry Company using the handles below:
Facebook: Facebook.com/BerryMeansBiz
Twitter: @BerryMeansBiz
Instagram: @BerryMeansBiz
On March 1 the post with the most likes will receive a $500 VISA gift card and $100 per month for 6-months in free advertising from Berry/LocalVox. Two runners up will also receive a marketing package from Berry/LocalVox.
Businesses can tag themselves in posts, but Oahu residents are encouraged to participate. If you know of a small business doing their part to protect the environment in Oahu, tag the business along with #SmallBizBigOutcome and Berry’s handles in a post, and share the contest link on your social media accounts.
Oahu Infographic
Residents and businesses in Oahu have recently received the new 2016 telephone directory, which features advertising representing local businesses throughout Oahu. Berry encourages the Oahu community dispose of their outdated directories – residents in their grey refuse carts and businesses in their trash containers – now that the new directories have been delivered. To arrange for a bulk pick up, please call (808) 833-2018, and for more information, visit SmallBizBigOutcome.com.
Berry, in collaboration with the City and County of Honolulu, has created an Infographic explanation designed to educate the Oahu community about proper disposal of outdated phone books on the island. Outdated directories are processed locally at a waste-to-energy facility where they are used to generate a valuable source of renewable energy for Oahu. They are never wasted and never end up in landfills.
The Oahu Infographic is available at SmallBizBigOutcome.com/Oahu and Berry suggests businesses and residents share the link through their online channels to help spread the word about the difference proper disposal of phone books can make in protecting the environment and powering the island.
“For years The Berry Company has been dedicated to environmental awareness and sustainability in communities we live and work, and now we’re championing other businesses doing their part to generate big outcomes,” said Laura Cole, Vice President, Marketing, The Berry Company. “We’re proud to continue to work with the local community on proper disposal of outdated phone directories on the island, which can have a significant impact on the environment.”
