The first season of Netflix’s supernatural horror series “The Haunting of Hill House“ has just come out earlier this month, but viewers are already wondering if there is going to be a “The Haunting of Hill House” Season 2. The show has been well-received by critics and fans alike, but so far Netflix still hasn’t given any sign that they are extending the series.
The good news is that some of the main cast members are willing to come back for another season. In an interview with Digital Spy, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, the actor who portrays Luke Crain, pointed out that the writing team can come up with a lot of story ideas if they decided to make another season.
"It'll be interesting to see what Mike [Flanagan] and Netflix and Paramount, what they all decide to do,” Jackson-Cohen said. "There's millions of different options – they could continue on and have it a couple of years on and how the remaining Crains are dealing with it. They could go back and tell the story of the Hills at Hill House,” he added.
Michiel Huisman, the actor who plays Steven Crain, doesn’t mind returning for “The Haunting of Hill House” Season 2 as well and he told Digital Spy the show’s future will depend on whether the viewers like it or not.
“The cool thing about Netflix is we can very easily see if people watch it or not. And then we'll start a conversation about whether or not we'll make season two,” Huisman noted.
Aside from Huisman and Jackson-Cohen, “The Haunting of Hill House” also stars Elizabeth Reaser as Shirley, Kate Siegel as Theo, Victoria Pedretti as Eleanor, Carla Gugino as Olivia, and Timothy Hutton as Hugh. Since the first season is a success, many believe Netflix will have to think long and hard about producing “The Haunting of Hill House“ Season 2 if they want to keep viewers happy.
