TROY, Mich., Oct. 19, 2016 -- Thomas W.H. Barlow has been named as a 2016 Michigan Super Lawyer in the area of Employment & Labor Law.
Mr. Barlow concentrates his practice in labor and employment law, non-compete law and health care law. Mr. Barlow was previously a partner with the nationally recognized firm of Jackson Lewis PC, giving him over 30 years of experience representing management in virtually all aspects of work place and labor law. His experience in traditional labor law includes negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements and litigation of employment cases. He defends allegations of discrimination and harassment, wrongful dismissal and retaliation. Mr. Barlow counsels employers on maintaining a union free workplace, as well as the prevention of labor disputes. The negotiation and administration of employment contracts, and attendant non-compete and trade secret provisions are a regular part of his practice. He also has extensive experience in healthcare, having represented both acute care hospitals and assisted living facilities.
Mr. Barlow has long been recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer, a dbusiness Top Lawyer, a U.S. News Best Lawyer and has received an “AV” Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking by peers for general ethical standards and legal ability.
Mr. Barlow attended Michigan State University, received his B.S. degree from Wayne State University and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
