“An International Evening of Opera” Supports Common Sense Values at the Scientology Information Center

CLEARWATER, Fla., Oct. 26, 2016 -- On Sunday, 23 October, Viennese opera singer Susanne Epple performed a concert in honor of The Way to Happiness precepts, “Set a good example”, “Be competent” and “Try to treat others as you would like to be treated” at the Scientology Information Center in downtown Clearwater.  People of diverse nationalities, backgrounds, religions and professions came together to enjoy the music.

Susanne Epple, a classically-trained soprano opera singer and her accompanist, Ms. Rosalia Mareska, a retired opera singer and professional pianist performed a host of popular opera songs. Ms. Epple not only sang in English, but also in French, Italian and German, narrating each song and providing musical history of the genre.

Ms. Epple’s performance of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”, from the musical, Evita, brought the audience to its feet. Ms. Epple, a Clearwater resident since 1991, also told audience how the application of the precepts from The Way to Happiness inspired her and helped her to make better choices in life. The Way to Happiness, written by L. Ron Hubbard is a non-religious common sense guide to better living and is translated into 101 languages, being used in over 160 nations.

At the event’s close many guests expressed that they would like to attend Ms. Epple’s next performance. One attendee stated, “It was a wonderful, wonderful experience. The singing was exquisite and the pianist was amazing.”

The Scientology Information center is located at 500 Cleveland Street. The center has welcomed over 11,000 visitors from the community to learn about Scientology and brought the community together through over 50 events.
